Frank Popper is a Professor emeritus of Aesthetics and the Science of Art at the University of University of Vincennes in Saint-Denis, Paris.
He is the author of Origins and Development of Kinetic Art (1968), Art, Action, and Participation (1975), Art of the Electronic Age (1993) , From Technological to Virtual Art: the Humanization of the Machinic through Artistic Imagination (2007) and other influential works on art and technology.
