Ernst scott is mathematician and got involved in Computer graphics in the mid 70’s when developing graphical system software. He soon worked in cooperation with his wife, the graphic artist Milada Schott. She subsequently hand-coloured his works. In his works, there are also representational subjects, the formal features of which are randomly controlled.

Biography

1973 Mathematical assistant at the Technical University of Munich.
1975 Started developing graphical system software.
Won the first price in a competition in artistic computer graphics run by the journal Computerwoche with the sheet Zufallsgenerierte Sitzverteilung.
1976 Used random generators for the modulation of given system structures after he had become familiar with the Information Aesthetics surrounding Max Bense and cybernetic art theory.
1977 Turned to constructive computer graphics in the
Op Art style and is still working in this direction today.
