As a high-school teacher and spare-time writer, Glötzner took to the computer in the 1980s. His mission then was warning against a mindless euphoria concerning computers. He gained inspiration for some of his works from reading Kafka. He claims that René Magritte and Giorgio de Chirico were most influential for him to use the computer for image production.
