name: CDC 7600
Description

The CDC 7600 was the largest computer in 1969.
The Meteorological Institute in Paris possed one.
The artist Manfred Mohr gained – with some luck – access to it.
In an Interview with Barbara Nierhoff (2007) hat mentioned:
»Here, in 1969 (and for the next 11 years), the gates to a veritable paradise were opened for me: I was allowed to use the largest computer of that time (CDC 7600) every night, and an enormous ‚flatbed’ plotter from Benson – something one only can dream of – was freely available to me!«
