ACM SIGGRAPH | i |

name: ACM SIGGRAPH
Description

SIGGRAPH was officially formed by Sam Matsa and Andries van Dam in 1969. Since there were no working graphics standards in the 1970s so SIGGRAPH focused much of its attention on standards. The first general SIGGRAPH conference in 1974 was a modest event that seeded the annual conference — SIGGRAPH’s most visible activity. Over the years, the proceedings of the annual SIGGRAPH conference has come to be regarded as the world’s premier place to publish computer graphics research, with the proceedings of other SIGGRAPH conferences also highly respected.
