The Foundation for Constructive and Concrete Art was founded by private individuals in 1986. From 1987 to 2001 it was located in the outer Seefeld area of Zurich and was known as the ’ House for Constructive and Concrete Art. Over seventy exhibitions were organized at its previous location, gaining it an international reputation through its concerted promotion of art, its publications and editions.
As the only institution in Switzerland, and one of the first in Europe, the foundation promotes ‘constructive, concrete and conceptual art and design’. Its location in Zurich artists such as Max Bill, Camille Graeser, Verena Loewensberg and Richard Paul Losse all worked there and contributed to the development of international modern art.
