Bibliographic Entry
Description
A small brochure continuing Mohr’s publication Artificiata I. It contains 66 images by Manfred Mohr and a text of four pages by Margit Rosen. Her essay starts with the remark, “The present book was announced 45 years ago.” That is so because in 1969, Mohr in Articiata I announced this second volume. In 1969, Mohr “put down brush, pen and ruler and started learning to program electronic calculating machines.”
The image concept starts in the hypercube of 12 dimensions where one out of an unimaginably large number of possible diagonal paths is chosen and projected down to the image plane. There are 66 possible such projections, therefore the number of images in this series.
