Edward Zajec had started working with computers in 1968 while teaching Fine art at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. His use of computers has focussed on eliciting patterns based on redundancy and repeatition. He has been engaged in computer graphics, experimental animation and internet projects in the recent past.
He is presently serving as a Professor Emeritus of Art and Design, in the Transmedia department at The Syracuse University, New York.
His work has been shown at the Cleveland Museum of Art,Ohio, The Museum of Modern Art,New York, The Centre Georges Pompidou,Paris among other art venues around the world.
They have also been featured in festivals like WRO Media Art Biennial, the Locarno Video Art Festival, Ars Electronica, ISEA and SIGGRAPH.
