Wolfgang Blobel was born in Neustrelitz (Germany).
He lived in Bergisch Gladbach and Cologne (Germany).
He studied high frequency- and communication engineering in illmenau and Friedberg in Germany.
Afterwards he has studied painting and graphic at art school in Cologne.
He was using special graphical features of a computer-controlled plotter, that way like other artists are selecting woodcut, etching or silk-screen printing as a tool of their expression.
His goal was displaying new aesthetic phenomenons and structures, which are just achievable whith the particular nature of a computer.
Moreover the computer was used to arrange a pile of ideas and to find a suitable solution
He also appreciated the computer as a tool to reinforce the creativity, because he enables a new form of creativity. This originates when someone takes a handful numbers which hiding a shape or a value of colour.
