Brög is a german artist, author and professor for art and art didactics. He was interested in philosophy, especially Aesthetics and Semiotics. Therefore his disseration was about the Semiotische und numerische Analyse zweier Holzschnitte von Albrecht Dürer [Semiotic and numerical analysis of two woodcuts by Albrecht Dürer]. Further, he was co-editor of Semiosis for many years.
