Composed in collaboration with Gunther F. Schrack whose research focussed on computer graphics, particularly on the programming of graphics programmes.
Initially, it was Shrack’s intention to produce a notation programme for Goldberg, but he later pursued the idea of producing artistic graphics with a visual form that clarified their connection to musical structures.
As a basis, they arranged both components in the coordinate plane of an x- and y-axis The graphics also contained digital information for tone synthesis and composition, which led to the production of an electronic tape. The Bremen works are designs for two images in which this is implemented. Both were realised as lithographs, which belong to Schrack’s collection.
