Georg Nees’ doctoral dissertation, finished under the guidance of Max Bense in 1968. The dissertation was first published by the Siemens company in 1969. Its second edition is a facsimile reprint of the first edition, published within the (irregularly appearing) “Kaleidoskopien” series. Nees added a new introduction.
