Mohr, Manfred, et al., Nake, Frieder & Stoller, Diethelm, eds. 1993. Algorithmus und Kunst »Die präzisen Vergnügen«. Hamburg:Sautter & Lackmann, Hamburg

This booklet was published upon the occasion of a remarkable exhibition curated by the editors. The show ran from February 3 through 20, 1993, at Galerie Meißner, Hamburg. It was a contribution to the symposium INTERFACE II. After Hamburg, the exhibition was transferred to a-jetzt Galerie Stuttgart, LIVING Galerie Braunschweig, and Kunstraum Lüneburg.

The show, for the first time, brought together early algorithmic art by the European pioneers Kurd Alsleben, Herbert W. Franke, Wolfgang Kiwus, Manfred Mohr, Vera Molnar, Frieder Nake, and Georg Nees.

During the show at Meißner, on the afternoon of February 7, 1993, a workshop united all the artists with the exception of Vera Molnar. Never again has such a meeting taken place.
