Description

Computer Art Exhibition organized by the Centro de Cálculos de la Universidad de Madrid in 1970, after the second seminar of Generación Automática de Formas Plásticas (Automatic Generation of Plastic Forms).

The exhibition was presented from 22nd June to the 4th July at the Centro de Cálculo de la Universidad de Madrid, Spain, and was curated by Ernesto García Camarero

Contributions to the exhibition came from two groups: from participants of the seminar mentioned above, and from invited artists. The latter must be considered pioneers of computer art. Their list included works by E. Robert Ashworth, Auro Lecci, Leslie Mezei, Petar Milojević, Frieder Nake, Georg Nees, A. Michael Noll, Zoran Radovic, and Rogers P. Saunders.

Local contributors were José Luis Alexanco, Manuel Barbadillo, Gerardo Delgado, Tomás García, Gomez Perales, Lugan, Manuel Quejido, Sempere, and Soledad Sevilla. Most of their works had a programmer as an assistant.

For the occasion, a brochure was printed in black and white (in Spanish, size A4). It contains one page, with one image, for each contributing artist.
